Santa-Ana-Cube
The Discovery Science Center is the huge, ten-story solar array cube that you pass whenever you drive through Santa Ana, California on the I-5 freeway. Formerly known as the “Taco Bell Discovery Science Center”, this science museum offers over 100 hands-on science exhibits designed to spark children’s natural curiosity.

The center is divided into several themed areas: Discovery Stadium, Techno Arts, Air & Space, Perception, Dynamic Earth, Quake Zone, the Digital Lab and KidStation. Some of the available exhibits at the museum include Dino Quest, an interactive work, which opened in 2006 and includes life-size dinosaurs; and Science of Hockey, which opened in 2009 and presents the various scientific aspects behind the game of hockey with the help of the Anaheim Ducks franchise.

The Discovery Science Center is located at the intersection of Main Street and the 5 freeway in Santa Ana, just 1/2 mile north of 17th Street and 1/4 mile south of the Main Place Mall. General admission ticket prices range from $17.95 for adults (though there is an online-only special right now for adults at $12.95), to $12.95 for child and senior admission. General admission tickets do not grant admission to the 4D Theater or Dino Quest, additional tickets are required.
