The trunks for last two monarchs in the Kingdom of Hawaii - King Kalakaua and his sister and successor, Queen Lili`uokalani. Iolani Palace was built in 1882 and was the officialresidence of the Hawaiian Kingdom. Ioliani Palace was trying to find the trunks for the museum and located them in an antique store in Charleston, SC. The wood used in the trunks is now extinct.
