You don’t have to travel to Greece, Russia or the Ukraine in order to experience all these countries have to offer; you can celebrate all these cultures - and more - in Baltimore!
Yes, you heard us correctly, from June 3rd through October 16th, Baltimore Maryland is hosting the Showcase of Nations 2011. This ethnic celebration brings together the charming and diverse communities of Baltimore for several, unique weekend festivals.
Festival attendees will enjoy an assortment of multicultural foods, energetic live music, cultural and traditional dances, arts and crafts and other fun activities for the whole family. The festival events will take place in various locations around the city and admission costs vary as well. The Showcase of Nations Ethnic Festivals is presented by Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and the Baltimore Office of Promotion The Arts.
The next two scheduled events in the festival will be the Ukrainian Festival on September 10th and 11th, and the Russian Festival on October 14th through the 16th. For more information on the individual festivals, and for prices, please click here.
