If you will be in the Houston, Texas area this weekend, you are in luck! Saturday, September 24th, marks Smithsonian Magazine’s National Museum Day, and the Holocaust Museum Houston is one of the museums participating in the event!

“In the spirit of Smithsonian Museums, who offer free admission everyday, Museum Day is an annual event hosted by Smithsonian magazine in which participating museums across the country open their doors to anyone presenting a Museum Day Ticket...for free.”

“Holocaust Museum Houston is dedicated to educating people about the Holocaust, remembering the 6 million Jews and other innocent victims and honoring the survivors' legacy. Using the lessons of the Holocaust and other genocides, we teach the dangers of hatred, prejudice and apathy.”

Holocaust Museum Houston will offer free admission to all Smithsonian subscribers and even allow them to bring one guest with them. All you have to do is bring your Smithsonian magazine admission card from the September 2011 issue or download your card from www.Smithsonian.com. For more information, call 713-942-8000 or e-mail [email protected].
