Shipping a TV
The first thing you will want is a box to put the TV in for shipping. If you happen to have the box that it came in, that is a great option to use. If you need a new box, our team can provide one that fits the dimensions you need. You will want a box that closely matches the dimensions of the TV so there is minimal room for movement. Once you have the shipping container figured out, collect any cords or accessories and set them aside. Wipe down the screen and the outside of the television to get rid of any dust or residue. Next, grab the box and gently slide the television into it. We strongly recommend adding bubble packaging, packing peanuts, or foam to add extra padding and cushion while being shipped. Don’t forget to place the cords, remote, and other small accessories somewhere in the box where they will not scratch or damage any part of the TV. If possible, keep a layer of foam or bubble packaging between these items.
Lastly, you’ll want to ensure that the box can be completely closed and secured for shipping. Use packing tape liberally on all openings, corners, and sides so there is no room for anything to fall out or come undone. Place arrows or indicators on the box so package handlers know which way the box should sit while in transit. This helps avoid other heavy packages being placed on the television screen. Finally, place your shipping label on top of the box so it is easily seen and accessible for mail carriers.
