Pook & Pook is an auction house located in Downingtown, Philadelphia. Ronald and Debra Pook, owners of Pook & Pook, held its first auction in 1984, and it grossed approximately $125,000 which is quite respectable for a brand new auction house during that time. In wasn’t until after 15 years that Pook & Pook started to make huge headway in the industry. In 1999, Pook & Pook became the first auction house outside New York City to break the million dollar mark on a single item which was a Philadelphia Chippendale mahogany pie-crust tea table that was made in 1765. During that same year, they had the largest on-site one-day auction ever in the United States, grossing over $4.3 million. As Pook & Pook became more popular, their auction audience snowballed resulting in Ronald and Debra building a brand new state-of-the-art auction facility to house more clients.

Pook & Pook’s long history of sales come from a range of categories that include books, manuscripts, carpets, antique clocks, contemporary art, currency, fine art, sculpture, folk art, high end furniture, glass, jewelry, porcelain, pottery, textiles, weapons, wine, and more. Nationally renowned for their appraisal services and distinguished auctions, Ronald and Debra Pook, and their knowledgeable staff are committed to work with you whether you are buying or selling.
